The Seldom Seen series of maps have been developed by Art Gene working with Morecambe Bay Partnership.
Together, these series of 5 maps span from the Islands of Barrow to Cockerham, plotting the hidden assets of the spectacular Morecambe Bay area of Cumbria and Lancashire. They capture its remarkable natural history, industrial (and military) heritage and social history: revealing that places are never just one thing but layers coexisting and connecting through time.

Hi....recently purchased a collection of maps with a difference "Seldom Seen" as a gift for a friend who lives in the midlands & never visited the Morecambe Bay area. His interest was further enlightened by viewing the TV drama "The Bay" My solution was a perfect fit he can't believe the detail depicted of the wonder's of the bay & its coastal villages in those colourful wall charts.
Thanks to the coast office for an unusual & interesting item swiftly despatched by friendly staff.

The map is packed full of excellent and interesting information and I have since bought the full set of 5 maps. As a person keen on wildlife it provides lots of places to explore. Highly recommended.
These maps researched and created by Stuart Bastik are absolutely fantastic, they are crammed with detailed, vital and fascinating information, attractively designed and are well worth the money. I bought the boxed set and was so glad to track them down as I believe they will probably be in limited supply. I honestly could not be happier with them, they are super. They were obviously a labour of love for Mr Bastik, his understanding of and enthusiasm for the region shines through with every detail. Thank you.
